   Shisui takes his own life in the Naka River, and erases his body so his power can never be stolen or turned against the Leaf. The act, years later, keeps even Edo Tensei from reaching him.

Shisui was a prodigy twice over — of speed, and of the eye. His Body Flicker was refined past anyone else's of his time, fast enough to leave tangible afterimages. His Mangekyō Sharingan carried Kotoamatsukami, a genjutsu so subtle a victim never knew it had touched them, and a Complete Body Susanoo besides. Around all of it sat the broad, polished skill set of a true ANBU.

  Shisui Uchiha, known as Shisui of the Body Flicker, was an ANBU and jōnin of Konohagakure's Uchiha clan. Itachi's closest friend, he was one of the most gifted shinobi of his generation.
