Sharingan & Mangekyō Sharingan
Itachi's dōjutsu. The Sharingan reads movement and copies technique; the Mangekyō, awakened through the death of his friend Shisui, unlocks the three powers he is feared for.

Also known as Itachi, Clan Killer, Weasel
Itachi Uchiha is a shinobi of the Uchiha clan and the older brother of Sasuke Uchiha. A prodigy from childhood, he is remembered first as the man who massacred his own clan — and revealed, only after his death, to have done it under orders to prevent a civil war, sparing and protecting his brother throughout.
Itachi was the first child of Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha, born in a time of war. He was four years old when the Third Shinobi World War was at its height, and his father took him to a battlefield to show him what a shinobi's life cost. The mountains of dead left a mark — Itachi grew up a pacifist who hated conflict.
He was a prodigy even among the Uchiha. He graduated the Academy at seven, mastered the Sharingan young, and became an ANBU captain while still a child. The village watched him the way it had watched very few others.
Beneath that, Itachi loved his clan but did not share its ambition. When the Uchiha began planning to seize Konoha by force, he came to see the coup not as pride to defend but as a catastrophe to prevent — and the village's leaders knew exactly where he stood.
Itachi is a small child when the Third Shinobi World War rages. His father takes him to a battlefield to teach him what shinobi life means, and the sight of the dead turns Itachi into a lifelong pacifist — a boy who hates war in a clan built for it.
Itachi rises fast: Academy at seven, ANBU captain as a child. His closest friend, Shisui Uchiha, dies in the shadow of the clan's growing unrest — and that loss awakens Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan.
The Uchiha clan moves toward a coup against Konoha. The village's leadership gives Itachi an ultimatum through Danzō Shimura: let the coup happen and the entire clan dies in the civil war, Sasuke included, or end the clan himself and Sasuke is spared.
Itachi kills the Uchiha clan in a single night, his parents among them, and spares only Sasuke. Then he does the cruelest part on purpose: he makes his brother hate him, so the hatred will drive Sasuke to grow strong. He leaves Konoha branded a traitor.
Itachi joins the Akatsuki and is partnered with Kisame Hoshigaki, all while feeding Konoha intelligence and quietly shielding both the village and Sasuke from the inside. He returns to the Leaf hunting the Nine-Tails.
Terminally ill and hiding it, Itachi engineers his final duel with Sasuke and lets his brother win. He dies with the truth still buried, leaving behind a failsafe meant to protect Sasuke one last time.
Reanimated by the Edo Tensei during the Fourth Shinobi World War, Itachi breaks free of the technique's control and helps bring it to an end. The truth of why he did everything finally reaches Sasuke.
Itachi was a prodigy even by Uchiha standards — Academy at seven, the Sharingan mastered young, ANBU captain as a child. He fought with genjutsu first and force second, and his Mangekyō Sharingan held three of the most feared techniques in the series. He also concealed a terminal illness through his entire career, which turned every battle into a race against his own body.
Itachi's dōjutsu. The Sharingan reads movement and copies technique; the Mangekyō, awakened through the death of his friend Shisui, unlocks the three powers he is feared for.
A genjutsu cast on eye contact that controls a victim's sense of time — days of torment can pass in an instant. One of the most powerful illusions in the series.
Black flames that ignite whatever Itachi looks at and burn until the target is gone. Ordinary water, wind, and fire cannot put them out.
A spectral armoured warrior. Itachi's wields two sealed treasures: the Totsuka Blade, which seals anything it cuts, and the Yata Mirror, which deflects any attack.
A forbidden dōjutsu that traps a target in a repeating loop of time until they accept their own truth. Itachi uses it to turn Kabuto off a far darker path.
Sasuke Uchiha
Itachi's younger brother and the reason behind every choice he made. He spared Sasuke in the massacre, steered hatred at himself to make the boy strong, and protected him from the shadows until the day he died.
Shisui Uchiha
Itachi's closest friend and the one person who shared his fear of the coming conflict. Shisui's death awakened Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan and hardened the path he would walk.
Fugaku Uchiha
Itachi's father and the head of the Uchiha clan — and of the planned coup. Itachi loved him, and killed him, on the same night.
Mikoto Uchiha
Itachi's mother. Like Fugaku, she met her son's blade in the massacre — and, in Itachi's own account, accepted it without resistance.
Kisame Hoshigaki
Itachi's partner in the Akatsuki. The two spent years together as an effective pair, and Kisame came to respect Itachi more than the organisation he served.
Naruto Uzumaki
Itachi never fought beside Naruto, but he entrusted him with two things: a hidden failsafe to protect Sasuke, and the quiet hope that Naruto could carry Konoha where he could not.
Danzō Shimura
The Konoha elder who delivered the ultimatum that forced the massacre. Danzō used Itachi's pacifism and youth to push him toward the act, and Itachi never trusted him with anything more than he had to.
Obito Uchiha
The masked man calling himself Madara, who helped Itachi the night of the massacre. For years afterward Itachi held him in check by threat alone, to keep him from moving against Konoha.

Konoha Crush & Tsunade Search
Itachi's Attributes column is the fastest tell — he is both an Akatsuki member and, later, an Edo Tensei reanimation, a pairing held by only a short list of characters. His Rogue rank and his Sharingan-and-Mangekyō Kekkei Genkai narrow the field further, and his Uchiha clan trims it again. His Konoha village and broad jutsu types are the common columns. Itachi debuts mid-series, in the Search for Tsunade arc, so the Debut Arc arrow can point either way — read it rather than assume.
