Soap Bubble Ninjutsu
Utakata blows bubbles through a pipe, shaping them into traps, explosives, and wide-range attacks across a battlefield.
ウタカタ · 空瀑
Also known as Six-Tails Jinchūriki, Bubble Ninja
Utakata is a missing-nin of Kirigakure and the jinchūriki of the Six-Tails, Saiken. A quiet, drifting man who fought with soap bubbles, he was betrayed by the master meant to free him — and spent the rest of a short life alone on the road, until one student, and then the Akatsuki, found him.
Utakata was a shinobi of Kirigakure, the Hidden Mist — and the jinchūriki of the Six-Tails, Saiken.
He fought with something no other shinobi did: soap bubbles. He carried a pipe and a bamboo jug of soap solution, and shaped the bubbles he blew into a whole arsenal.
Unlike most jinchūriki, Utakata kept a close, easy bond with the beast inside him. Saiken did not fight him — it simply did as he asked, and that, for a host, was a rare kind of peace.
Utakata is made the jinchūriki of Saiken, the Six-Tails — bound, as every host is, to a creature far older and stranger than himself.
Utakata grows into a shinobi of Kirigakure known for an unlikely craft — soap-bubble ninjutsu, blown from a pipe and shaped into traps, blasts, and wide-range attacks.
Utakata's own master, believing the Six-Tails a burden on his student's life, tries to extract it. The attempt goes wrong — forcing Utakata's transformation, and ending in the master's death.
Utakata leaves Kirigakure a missing-nin. What follows is years of drifting — a quiet, melancholy man alone on the road, with no village and no one waiting.
Against his solitary nature, Utakata takes a young kunoichi, Hotaru, as his student — a single human connection allowed into a life he had spent keeping empty.
The Akatsuki catch Utakata and extract the Six-Tails from him. His short, solitary life ends with the beast he had, against every expectation, been at peace with.
Utakata fought soft and strange — with bubbles. Through a pipe, from a jug of soap solution, he blew bubbles he could shape into traps, explosives, and attacks that covered a whole battlefield. His Water Release sat beneath all of it. And, rarest of his gifts, the close bond he kept with Saiken meant the Six-Tails' full power was simply his to call on, freely given.

Utakata's signature tools — a bamboo jug of soap solution and the pipe he blows it through.
Utakata's unusually close bond with Saiken — the beast gave him its full power without resistance, simply at his word.
Utakata's chakra nature — Water, the element beneath his bubble techniques.
Utakata's bubbles spread to cover and command an entire battlefield at once, leaving few clean paths through.

Utakata's Jinchūriki attribute is a strong signal — a short list of characters on the board carry it. His Kirigakure village is uncommon and narrows the answer, his Rogue rank trims it a little, and his Nature Types column holds only Water — a clean single-nature reading. He has no clan and no Kekkei Genkai. He debuts in the Kazekage Rescue era, mid-series, so the Debut Arc arrow can point either way.

Bubbles. People laugh, until the bubble that drifted past them turns out to have been the trap, or the bomb, or the cage.
Saiken never fought me. It only ever asked to be asked. Of all the things I have lost, that bond was not one of them.
I have travelled alone a long time. Taking a student means letting someone walk beside me. I am still deciding if I can.
