   Fuguki was the original wielder of Samehada, the chakra-eating living sword. In his grip it drained the chakra from his enemies, the same monstrous edge it would later give Kisame.

   In the Mist's secret division, Fuguki held authority over a young Kisame, assigning and overseeing him. For a time he was mentor and superior both to the man who would surpass him.

   Beneath the rank, Fuguki was leaking the Hidden Mist's secrets to its enemies. The respected Swordsman was, in truth, betraying the village whose most fearsome blade he carried.

   When Kisame uncovered the betrayal, he killed Fuguki. Samehada chose its new master, and Kisame took both the living sword and Fuguki's place among the Seven Swordsmen.

   Long dead, Fuguki is reincarnated by Kabuto for the Fourth Shinobi World War and set against the Allied division led by Kakashi — a traitor turned, once more, into a weapon.

Fuguki was a Seven Swordsman and the first to hold the most fearsome of the seven blades. Samehada let him eat an opponent's chakra mid-fight, and he backed it with hardened hair he could turn into needles, Water-nature ninjutsu, and the swordsmanship expected of one of the Seven.
