Lava Release
Kurotsuchi fuses Earth and Fire into Lava Release — hers taking the form of corrosive quicklime rather than molten rock.
クロツチ · 黑土
Also known as Ōnoki's Granddaughter, Iwa Kunoichi
Kurotsuchi is a kunoichi of Iwagakure and the granddaughter of the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki. A sharp, evasive fighter who wields Lava Release as corrosive quicklime, she fought through the Fourth Shinobi World War — and stood as the shinobi her grandfather meant to one day hand the Hidden Stone's hat.
Kurotsuchi was born in Iwagakure, the Hidden Stone, into the family that led the village.
She is the granddaughter of Ōnoki, the Third Tsuchikage, and the daughter of Kitsuchi — and, through that line, a descendant of the very first Tsuchikage as well.
She trained in the Hidden Stone into a sharp, quick jōnin, and developed a Lava Release that took, in her hands, the form of corrosive quicklime.
Kurotsuchi is born into the family of Iwagakure's leaders — grandchild of the Third Tsuchikage, in a household where the hat of the Hidden Stone is never a far-off thing.
Kurotsuchi grows into a jōnin of Iwagakure — fast, evasive, and confident, with a temper she is not shy about and a fondness for laughing with her grandfather.
Kurotsuchi develops her own form of Lava Release — not molten rock but corrosive quicklime, a substance to burn through a target or, set hard, to trap one.
Kurotsuchi fights through the Fourth Shinobi World War as a front-line jōnin of the Allied Shinobi Forces — her hardest test, and one she comes through.
Kurotsuchi stands as the shinobi her grandfather trusts the future of Iwagakure to — capable, level-headed when it counts, and ready for the weight of it.
By the close of the story, Kurotsuchi is set on the path Ōnoki walked before her — the heir who would, in time, take up the hat as the next Tsuchikage of the Hidden Stone.
Kurotsuchi fights fast and fights to corrode. Her Lava Release fuses earth and fire into quicklime — a substance that burns through what it touches, and, hardened in place, traps an enemy fast. She pairs it with Water Release to throw it further and set it harder. Around that signature sit sharp reflexes, real evasiveness, and a solid hand with both blade and body.

Kurotsuchi's quicklime — used to corrode an opponent, and, once hardened, to trap them in place.
Kurotsuchi pairs her quicklime with a Water Release jet, extending its reach and setting it hard around a target.
Sharp reflexes and genuine evasiveness — quick enough to slip past a barrage of Naruto's shadow clones.
Kurotsuchi's close-quarters skill — competent with the blade and the body, not only her Lava Release.

Whose shadow clones Kurotsuchi outfought and outpaced — a measure of her speed and skill.

Five Kage Summit
Kurotsuchi's Lava Release is a rare Kekkei Genkai signal that narrows the board hard, and her Iwagakure village is uncommon. Her Jōnin rank trims the answer a little, and her Nature Types column runs Fire, Earth, and Water. She has no clan and an empty Attributes column. She debuts in the Five Kage Summit arc, late in the series, so the Debut Arc arrow points up toward her.

My grandfather built this village's strength. I do not intend to be the one who lets it slip.
My lava is not the flowing kind. It is quicklime — it eats through you, and then it sets, and then you do not move at all.
Grandfather, retire already. You have carried the Stone long enough. Let someone with a working back take a turn.
