   Hamura and Hagoromo defeat Kaguya and seal her away, ending the threat to the world. The victory is also the end of any ordinary life the twins might have shared.

   Hamura departs for the Moon, founding a people there to keep a constant guard — a vigil against the day Kaguya's seal might fail and the Rabbit Goddess return.

   His power, and his line, left behind

   Hamura awakens the Tenseigan, and before his death seals its power into the Energy Vessel. He leaves the watch to the Moon, and his Byakugan bloodline — the Hyūga — to the Earth.

Hamura's power matched his twin's, but he turned it to a different purpose — guarding, not founding. He carried the Byakugan, the all-seeing eye that would become the Hyūga's inheritance, and awakened its evolved form, the Tenseigan. Like Hagoromo, he wielded Six Paths Senjutsu, with abilities that included flight. Before he died, he sealed his power away into a vessel, a safeguard meant for a future he would not see.

  Hamura Ōtsutsuki was the fraternal twin brother of Hagoromo, the Sage of Six Paths, and a son of Kaguya. He is the ancestor of the Hyūga clan, and the founder of the people who kept watch over Kaguya from the Moon.
