   Hagoromo knows he will not see the peace he wants in his own lifetime. He dies with the dream unfinished, leaving it — and his hope — to the generations that will come long after him.

Hagoromo was the most powerful shinobi who ever lived, and almost every discipline that came after him traces back to his hands. He carried the Six Paths power and the Rinnegan, sealed and then divided the Ten-Tails, and founded the spiritual practice from which ninjutsu itself descended. Later shinobi inherited fragments of what Hagoromo simply was.
