Colossal Size
The largest of the snakes, long and heavy enough to swallow most targets whole.
マンダ · 曼达
Also known as Snake Boss, Orochimaru's Summon
Manda is the boss snake of Ryūchi Cave, the largest of the serpents and Orochimaru's summon. Arrogant and bloodthirsty, he demands a hundred human sacrifices for his help and serves his master for one reason only: he has never managed to kill him. Cross him, and he will eat the summoner just as readily as the enemy.
Manda is the boss of the snakes of Ryūchi Cave, the largest serpent of his kind. When a holder of the snake contract calls for the boss, it is Manda who rises — a creature long enough to wrap a building, fast enough to vanish underground, and hungry enough to see every living thing around him as a meal.
He is Orochimaru's summon, but the word "serve" sits badly on him. Manda obeys only because he has never beaten Orochimaru in a contest of strength. Kabuto worried, with reason, that the snake would turn the instant he sensed his master had grown weak.
Every summoning comes with a price. Manda demands a hundred human sacrifices for his help, and he names it plainly, contempt and all. To him, humans are not allies or masters — they are food that happens to be useful.
Manda is the boss snake, the one summoned when a contract-holder calls for the head of the serpents. Vast, swift, and merciless, he is the most dangerous thing the snake contract can put on a battlefield.
Manda answers Orochimaru, but only because he cannot kill him. There is no loyalty in it — just a snake biding its time, waiting for the day his master finally slips.
Every time he is summoned, Manda names his fee: a hundred human sacrifices. He says it like a fact of business, and he means it. Fail to pay, and the snake is happy to take his due from the summoner instead.
When the three Sannin and their beasts collide during the search for Tsunade, Manda is set against Gamabunta and Katsuyu. He and the boss toad share an old, mutual grudge, and he is glad of the excuse to settle it.
Cornered by Deidara's final blast, Sasuke summons Manda, binds him with a Sharingan genjutsu, and uses the great snake's body to shield his escape. Manda never agreed to it.
The explosion that Sasuke walks away from is the one that kills Manda. The snake dies furious at being spent like a tool, cursing the Uchiha who used him with his last breath.
Manda is a predator, not a technician. He carries no library of jutsu — his weapons are the things a giant snake is born with. Size, underground speed, crushing coils, venom, and a molting trick that lets him shed his skin out of a killing blow all make him lethal long before any technique enters the picture.
The largest of the snakes, long and heavy enough to swallow most targets whole.
Constriction that pins and crushes whatever he manages to wrap, leaving little room to break free.
A strike fast and lethal enough to end most fights with a single bite.
Molting his outer skin to substitute his body clear of an attack at the last instant.
Tunneling underground to disappear and strike again from below without warning.
Orochimaru
His summoner — an alliance Manda keeps only because he has never managed to defeat him.
Sasuke Uchiha
Bound him with the Sharingan and spent his life as a shield against Deidara's blast.

The boss toad he holds a long, mutual grudge against, faced in the clash of the Sannin's summons.
Katsuyu
The boss slug set against him alongside Gamabunta when the three legendary summons met.
Kabuto Yakushi

Konoha Crush & Tsunade Search
Manda is a summon, so his grid looks much like Gamabunta's. His Village reads None, his Ninja Rank reads None, and he has no clan and no Kekkei Genkai — four grey columns at once. His Attributes column is empty as well, which keeps him clear of the tailed beasts and their shared tag. The split from the boss toad is the Nature Types column: Manda's single nature is Earth, not Water. His Jutsu Types column shows only Ninjutsu, and he debuts in the Konoha Crush & Tsunade Search arc, third on the timeline.

A hundred sacrifices, Orochimaru. That is my price. Be late with it, and I will take it out of you.
That toad and I have business older than you. Stand aside and let me swallow him.
Used... as a shield... I will never forgive an Uchiha for this.
