Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood
Hidan drinks a target's blood, then stands inside Jashin's ritual symbol — every wound he then deals himself is reflected onto the linked victim.

Also known as Immortal, Zealot of Jashin
Hidan is a missing-nin of Yugakure and a member of the Akatsuki, an immortal zealot of the death-god Jashin. Through a forbidden ritual he can survive any wound, and his curse jutsu turns his own pain into a death sentence for whoever he marks — a slow, gloating killer his partners could barely stand.
Hidan came from Yugakure, the Hidden Hot Water — a village that, in his lifetime, gave up the shinobi life entirely and remade itself as a tourist resort.
Hidan would not give it up. He fell in with the cult of Jashin, a faith built on the idea that killing is itself an act of worship.
Before he left, Hidan slaughtered his own neighbours in the name of that faith, then walked out of Yugakure as a missing-nin — carrying his religion, and its rituals, with him.
Hidan's home, Yugakure, abandons the shinobi life to become a quiet resort town. Hidan has no interest in a quiet life — the change leaves him with nothing the village still wants.
Hidan finds the cult of Jashin, a faith that treats slaughter as devotion. He kills his own neighbours in its name and leaves Yugakure a missing-nin, his religion now the whole of his life.
A Jashin ritual grants Hidan what he most wants — a body no wound can kill. Cut apart, scattered, run through, he simply keeps living, and keeps talking.
Hidan joins the Akatsuki and is paired with Kakuzu, the only other member who refuses to stay dead. The two are nicknamed the Zombie Combo — and cannot stand one another.
Hidan drinks the blood of Asuma Sarutobi, links their bodies through Jashin's ritual, and kills the Konoha jōnin slowly — wounding himself so the wounds land on Asuma instead.
Shikamaru Nara hunts Hidan down to avenge Asuma. He cannot kill an immortal — so he blows Hidan to pieces and seals the still-living parts deep beneath the Nara forest, alive and trapped.
Hidan was not a fast or clever fighter — he did not need to be. His entire style rested on a single fact: he could not be killed, so he could afford to be hit, cut, and run through. What made him deadly was the curse jutsu his immortality unlocked, a technique that turned every wound he took on himself into a wound on the enemy he had marked.

A Jashin ritual makes Hidan unkillable by injury. Severed, scattered, or run through, he simply keeps living.
Hidan's red, three-bladed scythe, swung on a cable — its real purpose is to draw the blood his curse needs.
The symbol Hidan draws on the ground in blood, binding a marked victim's body to his own.
Once a link is set, Hidan wounds himself freely — stabbing his own heart and limbs — because the damage lands on his victim.

Hidan's Nature Types column is the oddity — it is empty, a grey row almost no other character on the board shows. His Yugakure village is rare and narrows the answer hard, his Juinjutsu jutsu type is uncommon, and his Rogue rank with the Akatsuki member attribute confirms him. He has no clan and no Kekkei Genkai. He debuts in the Twelve Guardian Ninja arc, late in the series, so the Debut Arc arrow points up toward him.

Half-killing someone is the worst thing you can do. Lord Jashin demands the whole of a life — nothing less counts as worship.
Kakuzu, you greedy old corpse — quit counting coins and let me finish my ritual.
Go on, bury me. I will still be down there cursing your name a hundred years from now.
